Aurora Aksnes' earliest memory of music is when she discovered a grand piano that was in the attic. The piano was fascinating to her what it could do. Jan Oystein Aksnes and May-Britt Aksnes urged Aurora to pursue music not to get a job or a hobby, but as an opportunity to improve. So she started her own compositions. Her sources include noted writer Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan in addition to her affinity with Bjork's style. To counter her mother's suggestion that her children ought not to aim to become famous with the songs she writes, but rather realize the importance of themselves as well as their contribution to society. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started making music when she was 9 years old. Family members didn't even be aware of this until she reached the age of 14. Aurora has never imagined being famous. She claims that she simply loves writing music. To her music, is the best method of expressing anything.
